WE ARE invites you to surround yourself with vibrant colors, happy spirits, and the celebration of life and love during the Holi Festival, a traditional celebration of good harvest, the arrival of spring, and the victory of good over evil. This bright and exciting culture only expands as our mouths will fill with exotic spices during each traditional meal we enjoy. Then met with the fast paced city of New Delhi, prepare yourself to be blown away by the grandiose Taj Mahal. From there the unique culture of India will be explored with never before seen wild architecture in Jaipur. From scaling the side of tall pink buildings on step wells to the intricately painted arches from one building to the next, Jaipur will shock you to the core. And right when you think you've done all there is to do, you will be surrounded with creative movement in a workshop teaching Bharata Natyam, a traditional Indian dance. Join us on an adventure of a lifetime.

    BLOCK PRINTING

The city of Jaipur has, since time immemorial, been known as the textile capital of the world.

The basic carving tools are made by block makers themselves form iron rods, bicycle spokes etc. The ‘design' is first drawn on paper and stretched out on a smooth surface of the wood. The motif or design is then pierced through the needles so that the 'impression' is transferred on the smooth surface of the wood. Later, the unwanted areas are carved out. This is followed by ‘Ageing’ which is the process of naturally drying the fabric for penetration of colour, ‘Washing’ to get rid of excess mordant and ‘Dyeing’ (fixing of colour) to react with the mordant and give new colours. A

workshop will be organized for you to understand and learn this fascinating technique. You will also get the chance to try your hand at preparing the block and then printing a souvenir.
